4 More Useful Apps for Artists using Macs!

1. Time Out (free) - Very good reminder to take breaks when working.
2. Clean (free) - This cleans your desktop or any other folder selected, very useful.
3. Freememory (free) - frees space on your RAM.
4. Relax Melodies  (free)  - I find white noise very helpful when i'm doing my work, really calms me and helps me concentrate.

Getting the most out of Photoshop performance means understanding what settings are the best for you. This tutorial will show you what settings to use for different workflows, from large high resolution images to smaller multi-layered Photoshop compositions. Photoshop is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to manage memory and disk space and this presentation will shine a light on that process and illustrate best practices for all users. Great apps and Tips for Artists Using a Mac!

Here are a List of really useful apps for the Mac-

1. Wunderlist (free) - help with task management, to do lists. A MUST
2. Things - help with task management, to do lists.
3. Monolingual (free) - delete all those unwanted language files hidden away. (DO NOT DELETE  AppleKeyboardLayouts.bundle!!! - I DID and my keyboard stopped working- very frightening because everything asks for a admin password! - Ended up re-installing Mac OSX, Still a useful program tho just make sure you know what your doing!! 
4. Onyx (free) - incredibly good cleaning tool.
5. AppCleaner (free) - Deleting apps the proper way.
6. 1password- great app for keeping all your personal information safe.
7. Tinyalarm - Make sure you take breaks, a little alarm clock can be very helpful
8. VLC (free) - Best Movie player out there.
9. Bulkr Pro - Great for building up a huge source of photo reference from flickr. Worth Paying for!
10. Openoffice (free) - for writing up documents, power-points, spreadsheets.
11. JumpCut - Advanced copy & paste program, stores them.
12. Skitch - for screen captures.

And of course the Main Ones for Digital Artists.

1. Adobe Photoshop CS5
2. Adobe InDesign CS5
3. Adobe Illustrator CS5
4. Corel Painter ( I prefer Photoshop but this is still good)

BIG TIP! - Is it time to update your RAM? Ram is getting cheaper these days and programs are getting more advanced and needing more ram to run well. -
